OUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 - EXPLORE DUBROVNIK!
Welcome to Croatia's most iconic destination, the stunning city of Dubrovnik! You'll need to arrange a flight to arrive here before 12pm (or be here the night before), then we'll pick you up and bring you to our quaint little guest house in an amazingly central location, right in the heart of Dubrovnik's Old Town, just steps away from its iconic 'Strada' main avenue!

We'll grab some lunch so you can get to know your new travel buddies then we're off to explore along the tops of the walls that surround the city. Get ready for unbelievably beautiful views of the stone buildings, terracotta roofs and ruins of the Old Town, and on the other side the views out to the wide open ocean.

We enjoy a stop along the way to soak up more views and cool down with a drink in the shade at one of the cute little bars tucked away in the city walls. If you're doing this tour as an extension of our Croatia Adventure you can enjoy some free time while we do this, unless you fancy doing it all again of course! There's loads of options in Dubrovnik and we'll make sure you've got a great plan to see more. Tonight we'll all head out for dinner together in the bustling little side streets of this very cool city.

DAY 2 - DUBROVNIK BEACH DAY & OPTION FOR KAYAKING!
You'll have some free time today to explore Dubrovnik, or you can opt to join us for a walk to a beautiful little beach tucked away just outside the city, with great views of the Old Town, gorgeous clear turquoise water for a dip, the option to kayak to a secluded cave where you can swim and snorkel, and a fab beach club!

Or you might like to take the cable car up to the viewpoint over the city, and there's a hike up there if you're feeling active! Another option is to hop on a small boat ride over to Lokrum island to explore.
​
Whether you've been there with us all day or have enjoyed exploring the city, viewpoint or Lokrum island then join us later on, we'll head to the beach club to enjoy some food and drinks and incredible views of the sun setting over Dubrovnik Old Town across the water!
DAY 3 - TRAVEL TO MAGICAL MOSTAR & KRAVICE FALLS!
Today we leave Croatia and board our private minivans to take us across the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to the magical city of Mostar. Just a two and a half hour drive away, with a stop at the border, Mostar is the postcard picture-perfect little Balkan taster of Croatia's neighbouring country. I absolutely fell in love with not just the very pretty little city, but its incredibly friendly people, and food!

On our way we'll also break up our journey with a visit to Kravice waterfalls set amongst the forest, where you can enjoy a dip in the cool clear waters if you like!

On arrival in Mostar we'll head to our gorgeous little hotel which is absolutely the best place to stay here, in a quaint, heritage-listed limestone house just steps away from Mostar's beautiful UNESCO protected Old Bridge. In the evening in particular it looks like something out of a fairytale, so we'll enjoy our first night here sampling Bosnian hospitality and traditional food in their riverside taverna. After dinner, why not take an evening stroll along the cobbled streets to see the illuminated view of the Old Bridge at night.
DAY 4 - EXPLORE MOSTAR & THE OLD BRIDGE!
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at our hotel taverna then it's time to explore Mostar! You'll notice some similarities with its Croatian neighbour, but you'll also definitely feel a distinct eastern influence here from the time of Turkish occupation including beautiful mosques and bazaars, which results in a fascinating blend of East meets West cultures with Mediterranean, Balkan and Turkish influences.
Its mix of old stone buildings and terracotta roofs combined with Islamic architecture and striking mountains backdrop creates some incredible views hard to beat, that make it an amazing city break destination, yet one that is hard to visit directly so overland from Croatia is a great way to do it! We'll take you to see the famous Old Bridge and explore the cobbled streets and bazaars, then you'll have some free time to take a boat trip down the river, or sit in one of the bars above and watch as daredevil divers make the famous jump off the bridge into the river below! Of course this beautiful place has also endured troubled times and you can visit the museum in the city to learn more.
DAY 5 - TRAVEL TO MONTENEGRO'S BAY OF KOTOR!
Relax in our private minivans and catch up on some rest after all our exploring, as we take the 3 hour drive to our third Balkan country, Montenegro, and its most beautiful spot, the stunning Bay of Kotor!
Our journey will be broken up by the border crossing, a scenic spot for lunch, then another stop at a viewpoint in the mountains overlooking the bay with incredible views, then the rest of the journey's views aren't something you'll want to miss either!

Surrounded by dramatic mountains up to 1200 metres high and picturesque stone and terracotta roof buildings nestled into corners of the coastline, this stunning bay is over 20 km in length and home to several medieval towns including the larger Kotor, where we'll visit tonight, and the smaller Perast, home to our incredible luxury hotel that's our home here for two nights, right on the water's edge.
DAY 6 - EXPLORE KOTOR & PRIVATE BOAT TRIP ON THE BAY!
You'll have some free time today to explore Perast or Kotor Old Towns and if you're up for it, join us for a hike up towards the fortress that sits in the mountainside, for fantastic views over the bay.

Today we'll get out onto that beautiful bay too with a boat trip to soak up the views from the water and get up close to its mini islands and the iconic Our Lady of the Rocks church.
​
Tonight, its almost time to say goodbye so we'll enjoy a farewell dinner by the water's edge with amazing views over the bay from our hotel restaurant, while enjoying Montenegrin food and wine to toast the end of our adventure!
DAY 7 - TRAVEL HOME
It's the end of our adventure and time to enjoy a final morning and say farewell to your new travel buddies before your transfer to Montenegro's Tivat Airport for your flight home.

WHAT IS THE AGE GROUP?
Travel Queen tours are for women aged 25 to 59 who are up for fun and adventure!
HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE?
You need to be of a good level of fitness as some tours and trips involve a lot of walking in the hot and sunny climate, sometimes up steep steps due to the hilly Mediterranean landscape and city walls. You also need to be able to climb in and out of minivans and boats and carry all of your own luggage for at least a 10 to 15 minute walk if needed.

ON THE TOUR BEFORE WE GO?
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
All three countries enjoy long, warm and sunny summers from May until October.
On every trip we hold a pre-trip meet up just for the women on your tour, so you can all get to know one another. We also create a closed Facebook group for everyone going on the tour too, where we share useful tips and advice and where you can all ask questions and get to know each other in the lead up to the tour.
I'M IN! HOW DO I BOOK?
HOW DO I SORT MY FLIGHTS?
Flights are not included in the tour price. You will need to arrive in Dubrovnik on the morning of Day 1 of the tour so you don't miss the first activity that afternoon, and fly out of Tivat in Montenegro on Day 7.
Great - you're in for the trip of a lifetime! You can book online here on the website with a £295 deposit or give Mel a call on 07967 788845 to book over the phone. The balance is due 2 months before the tour and you can choose to pay in instalments in the lead up to this date or however suits you best.
I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE!
If this is the first time you have ever done anything like this - don't worry, most of the women who book onto our tours are exactly the same as you! WILL I BE SHARING A ROOM?
Yes you will share a twin, double or triple room with other women on the tour. It would cost a lot more if we didn't share! Single supplements to upgrade to have your own room are sometimes possible after bookings have closed once we know final numbers for your tour.
HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY WILL I NEED?
All accommodation, trips, activities and transfers are included in the tour price. You'll need spending money for your meals and drinks, any shopping you might want to do and any additional activities that aren't included in the tour or that are just optional suggestions for you to choose from during the allocated free time. It is very difficult to advise how much as it depends on what you like to eat and drink (and how much of it!) plus whether you want to do lots in your free time or just relax.
WHO WILL BE OUR GROUP LEADER?
Your group leader will either be Travel Queen Owner, Mel Stephens, who has personally created the tour or someone amazing that Mel trusts to deliver the tour on her behalf and make sure you have an incredible experience! Mel is passionate about creating exciting, fun adventures with style for women that want others to travel and enjoy beautiful destinations with. She, or our guide, will be there day and night throughout the whole tour to make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone has a fantastic time!
